Blurb about TheWanderingDogs
The Wandering Dogs are free at last!
As former members of the rock band “Nuisance”, Dallas Batchelor (Drums), Reggie Stevens (Guitars) and Rich Powers (Vocals), these Nuisance animals have escaped the leash and wandered the world after completing the 4th album “Fullscale 4.15”. For years we wandered musically. Dallas Batchelor had many adventures in the “Big Dogs House” with George Clinton of “P-Funk”, the Godfather of Funk. The years of soaking up the “Funk” have brought out the “Dog” in his heavy beats as he learned how to make the audience “shake their tails”. Rich Powers went on an under seas adventure, started a surf rock band, married a mermaid and started a sea horse ranch, which heavily influenced his lyrical stylings. Reggie Stevens, while in Tampa, FL, wandered the Death-Metal and art scenes, before starting an industrial S&M band in Atlanta. He explored his interest in keyboards as he worked with such bands as The Impotent Sea Snakes. But, alas, The Bohemian in him sent him on a journey out of the city and he wandered through the desert on a horse he never named. After randomly running into each other at a desolate airport lounge, the three decided to combine the unusual musical experiences and blaze a new melodious trail.
The result of this musical adventure has been the new group “The Wandering Dogs” and the debut album “Pack Mentality”.
We love the new, original style we’ve created and feel like you will love it, too. With great songs like the funky, bluesy “Everybody’s Farm” to the punk-pop-lesbian-love-song “Girlfriend” to the dark metal infused “Real Bad Dreams”, we’ve opened The Wandering Dogs door to let out all styles of great songs.
We are already working on the music for the second “The Wandering Dogs” album and trying to organize efforts to contribute to Animal Humane Society services, as well as, helping with the Warrior Dog Foundation. We are here to support all of you Wandering Dogs (human & K-9) out there in the world!
As experienced musicians, we recognize the highly competitive nature of the music industry and the vast number of bands trying to make a name for themselves, The Wandering Dogs, from Tallahassee, FL, featuring Rich Powers (vocals), Reggie Stevens (guitars, vocals), Dallas Batchelor (drums, vocals), spent their time building a faithful following with the band Nuisance. The fourth independent release "Fullscale 4.15", and the hit song Road Rage (Road Rage held the #1 spot on the www.mp3.com Thrash/metal charts as well as having up to 10 songs in the top 40 at the same time!) have given us the experiences and adventures to form the ground breaking sound that is The Wandering Dogs.
The Wandering Dogs look forward to
bringing you the soundtrack of your future…
