Slow Buildings is a Northern New Jersey rock band, featuring Jason Legacy on lead vocals and guitar, Christopher Basile on bass and Jorge Fraile on drums.
Slow Buildings began as an outlet for the songwriting skills of lead singer Jason Legacy, who formed Slow Buildings in 2005, writing and recording their first cd, Good Things Happen, while in grad school. Written, performed, recorded, produced and released by himself, the cd is a combination of melodic pop and indie rock. He recorded another cd, Everything Like This, in 2008, displaying a more confident and aggressive sound.
With school finally over, Jason began performing live at the end of 2009. Bassist Chris Basile has contributed his powerful yet melodic bass playing to the band since 2010. Past members have included drummers Ted Legacy and Zee, and guitarist Oce Dytioco.
Slow Buildings 3rd and most recent full-length, This Is Dead Aesthetic Junk, was released at the end of 2011 to enthusiastic reviews.
Slow Buildings have performed at numerous venues in the NY/NJ area since Sept. 2009 to ever-growing audiences, including Arlene’s Grocery, Fontana’s, Pianos, the Clash Bar, Trash Bar, The Delancey, Loop Lounge, The Whiskey Bar, Brighton Bar, Just Jakes and Dingbatz.
